- Lesson 1: Someone Worth Losing Everything For (Luke 14:25-33). Jesus calls us to give up everything and follow Him.
- Our main points were:
- Following Christ requires complete devotion (Luke 14:25–27).
- Following Christ requires counting the cost (Luke 14:28–32).
- Following Christ requires radical abandonment (Luke 14:33).
Wednesday Youth Group: This week we began a new 4 week mini-series: “Bulls Eye – A Narrowed Focus on Christ”. We will zero in on how we can make Christ the central focus of our lives.
Lesson 1 of 4 – “Jesus Beat the Odds” We examined the accuracy of OT messianic prophecies, saw how they were fulfilled in the NT, and were challenged to trust God more fully.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 7:14
Follow-Up Discussion: (use these to talk with your teen about what they’re learning)
- Why is it so important to know that God’s prophecies are always accurately fulfilled?
- Understanding that Jesus came to earth knowing what would happen to Him, how can you show thankfulness this week?
- Since nothing is impossible for God, in what ways do you need the God of the impossible to help you right now?
IMPORTANT INFO:
Youth Band: Our youth band leads worship in Youth Group most Wednesday evenings. If your teen is interested in trying out, have them join us for rehearsal on Wednesday evening, at 6 pm in the Sr. High room.
