We’re going to Haiti! I want to personally invite you to join me this Sunday for a very important Summer Mission Trip Information Meeting. This will be a time to hear an overview of our ministry. There will be time for your questions. If you or your teen is remotely interested, this is the meeting for you. We’re meeting in the Sr. High Room, following the 11 am service.
Sunday School – “All In – Discovering Church Membership”:
Week Two – Our Sacraments: This week we discussed the two sacraments/ordinances that Christ left for His Church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Memory Verse: Galatians 3:26-28
Making It Personal: (this is the application assignment to complete on their own)
- Baptized teens were encouraged to recall and write out why they were baptized.
- Teens who are not ready were encouraged to express their apprehensions and reservations in taking this step of obedience and faith.
- Teens desiring to be baptized are encouraged to sign-up in the Youth Center. More information will be provided soon on an upcoming March baptism.
Next Sunday: All In: Discovering Church Membership – Our Structure (Our Mission, Vision, and Purpose)
Wednesday Youth Group:
- Miniseries: “True North – When All Seems Lost” in which we’re learning how God’s attributes and character help us through life.
- This Week’s Theme: “Fear Factor” The students learned that God wants all believers to enjoy peace and not be captives of fear.
- Scripture Memory: John 14:27
- Discussion Questions (Parents – use these to follow-up with your teen):
- What are some of the biggest fears teens have?
- What are some of the fears that you have faced in your life?
