Meanwhile, we’ve been continuing in our regular series:
Sunday School – The Gospel of John:
- This Week’s Theme: Students learned that the only way to find satisfaction is through a vibrant personal relationship with Christ.
- Focus Passage: John 6
- Main Points (Parents – use these to follow-up with your teen):
- Jesus is the Bread of Life
- Mandy “disciples” desert Jesus
- Jesus describes His true disciples
Wednesday:
- Miniseries: “Unleashed – God’s Character Brings Freedom” in which we’ll learn how God’s holiness, mercy, grace, and discipline bring us freedom.
- This Week’s Theme: “I Can Do Whatever I Want!” The students learned that a Christian’s security in Christ does not grant them license to commit sin without consequence.
- Scripture Memory: Romans 6:6-7 “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.’”
- Discussion Questions (Parents – use these to follow-up with your teen):
- Why do some Christians believe that they can live however they want?
- What topics would you like to see put into the grid we developed?
- What does freedom in Christ mean in your own words?

- They’re be plenty of fun for everyone, even if you’re not into football
- Guys bring a 2-liter of pop; Girls bring a dessert/snack; Everyone bring your friends!
