Cleveland Mission Trip – Youth For Christ Day Camp – June 12-18
 
 

Why Cleveland (Parma/Parma Heights)?

  • To work to fulfill Acts 1:8 and reach our Jerusalem.
  • There’s a great need. There are thousands of people living within blocks of our church who need the gospel!
  • The type of work we will be doing will help prepare us for sharing the gospel anywhere we go.

 

Dates & Leadership: Our trip will be from Sunday, June 22 through Saturday, June 28. The trainings and fundraising will be coordinated by the Youth Ministry Team. The trip will be led by our Youth Ministry Team with Matt Vince as point person.

Travel & Accommodations: We will be staying here at the church. This allows us to keep our expenses down, so that a greater majority of funds raised will go directly to serving our community and spreading the gospel.

Ministry Opportunities: We are partnering with Youth for Christ (YFC) of Greater Cleveland, and with South New Milford Baptist Church with Mike Eaton as their point person. We will be putting on a 4-day, day camp (10am-5pm) for outgoing 7th graders- outgoing 12th graders.

  • Each day will have a specific focus on 4 key elements of the Gospel message.
  • There will be a band to lead in worship and to help energize campers each day.
  • This will provide opportunities to connect with students in our immediate community.
  • We will also have an opportunity to partner with other members of The Church to help make this evangelistic event successful during the week and beyond.
  • We are praying and expecting this to be a springboard into a stronger, growing presence in our community’s schools. We’re already seeing returns on previous years’ investments!

Finances:

  • Approximately $375 (depends on ministry supplies we need for projects yet to be determined)
  • One of our least expensive trips!
  • Fundraising will be available.
  • A $25 deposit is due by the first training (3/30).

Application & Trainings:

  • Students who will have completed grade 6 or higher are eligible to apply.
  • Applications are due NO LATER than Wednesday, March 19th, 2025.

  • The Youth Ministry Team will review all applications and build the team.
  • Required trainings are on the following Sundays, in the Youth Center, from 12:30-2:30 pm:

    • April 5 Pasta Dinner set-up
    • April 6 Pasta Dinner
    • April 27
