IN THE WORD THIS WEEK:
All In: This Sunday we continued our Church Membership class. We examined Baptism and Communion – to visible reminders of Christ’s love and sacrifice for us. Students interested in baptism and/or church membership must attend, and can sign up for both in class.
Wednesday Youth Group: In our third week of “Close Encounters of the Thirst Person” we studied the Holy Spirit’s work in our Progressive Sanctification (making us more like Christ). We looked at 7 practical areas of our lives that the Holy Spirit can give power, victory, and guidance. (Head, eyes, ears, mouth, hands, feet, heart)
For Discussion:
- Of the seven areas discussed, where do you sense the Holy Spirit’s power and help in your life?
- Of the seven areas discussed, where do you need to partner with the Holy Spirit for power and help?
- What’s the Holy Spirit’s role in making us more like Jesus Christ?
